WRITTEN BY Barbara Hammond

DIRECTION April Sweeney

48 SECONDS. In 2012, the feminist art collective, who call their ideals PUSSY RIOT, offered a punk prayer to the Mother of God on the altar of Cathedral of Christ Saviour Church (Moscow) to protest state abuses and a contested election. After 48 seconds, they were dragged away, arrested, tried as enemies of the Church and State, and sent to prison for hooliganism and inciting religious hatred. Barbara Hammond’s We Are Pussy Riot or Everything Is P.R. attempts to tell part of this story.

THE PAUL TAYLOR DANCE COMPANY

The Dybbuk

is arguably the most well-known play in the Yiddish theater lexicon. It was premiered in 1920 by the Vilna Trupe at the Eizeum theater in Warsaw. It’s success catapulted that company onto the international stage. It has since been translated into 27 languages and performed worldwide.

This December 2021, we will celebrate it’s 100th birthday with a live performance streamed from Theater For The New City.

Out At Sea is a macabre send up of political ideology sparing neither democracy nor autocracy. It is, in fact, an uncanny reflection of the America we have become all too familiar with.
